Inspired by our Director, Jean Christophe Lang, our approach is shaped by his unique background and expertise. Born in Port-au-Prince in 1979 to a Haitian mother and German father, Jean Christophe was raised and educated in both Germany and Haiti. A graduate from the State Hotel School in Hamburg in 2001, his international culinary, hospitality and event marketing career included roles at establishments such as Hotel Europaeischer Hof and Marriott Hotel Banquet Service as well as freelancing in Hamburg and events in Berlin.

Jean Christophe returned to Jacmel in 2001 to modernize Hotel Cyvadier Plage’s kitchen and train its staff, significantly enhancing the hotel’s reputation. As manager of Hotel-Restaurant Cyvadier since 2004, he has maintained a strong focus on excellence, earning the hotel the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2011. In 2015, he opened CafeKoze in Jacmel, the city’s first coffee-bar, which spurred further investments in the Historic City Center.

Beyond business, our  commitment to social causes, is exemplified by his support for the SOS Enfants Foundation School in Meyer founded by his parents Hans and Margarette Kohlbrenner, underscores our core values. By providing free education to young Haitians, we strive to make a positive impact on our community. At Hotel Cyvadier Plage, we blend excellence in service, environmental stewardship, and community support to create meaningful and memorable experiences for our guests.

Individual reservations for bookings of 3 or less rooms: can be made at any time up to day of arrival though we recommend to book at least a week ahead of time so we can make sure that we have space for you.

We accept Cash, Visa and Master Card payments in Gourdes or US Dollars. Customers can also prepay by wire or Zelle, however payment most be cleared prior to arrival.

We at Cyvadier don’t double book or overbook and therefore guarantee confirmed reservations. A confirmed reservation is one for which you have received a formal confirmation email from our system and or a valid reservation number generated by our internal booking system and for which a valid payment method or deposit has been received. Unsecured reservations

• We guarantee check in at arrival by 2:30pm, earlier check ins can be requested but are subject to availability on day of arrival
• Room check time is 11:00am, it the responsibility of our visitor to check out in a timely fashion to avoid additional charges.
• Late Check out requests can be made at the front desk 24h prior to departure but are subject to availability in day of departure.
• *Cancelations are free up to 24h before the reserved arrival day 12:00am. Cancelations 24h and less before reserved arrival or no shows will be charged 1 night per room reserved. *(except non refundable)
• Promotional non refundable reservations are discounted because we assume that the visitor will be here thus allowing us to plan, consequently we don’t issue refunds of any kind on these bookings.

Group reservations are bookings of 4 or rooms: have a required advance booking window of 2 weeks in advance and are subject to a security deposit requirement.

Advance security deposits of 50% of reservation amount is due at least 7 days prior to arrival.

We accept Cash, Visa and Master Card payments in Gourdes or US Dollars. Customers can also prepay by wire or Zelle, however payment most be cleared prior to arrival. Registered business partner and organization can pay with local company checks if confirmed by management.

We advise parties booking groups to revise our group policies and conform that the requirement are met. We reserve the right to give up or change rooms for which the security deposit requirement has not been met unless otherwise specified.

• Cancelations of group reservation less than 48 hours prior to reserved arrival will be charged up to 50% of room cost of reservation – but at least 1 night no show per room.
